Yahoo! will change the web analytics industry and the entire web metrics landscape through their acquisition of IndexTools. Dennis Mortensen (COO of IndextTools) is owed the highest level of admiration and praise for championing Web Analytics insight rather than mere reporting as is often the case with Google Analytics. IndexTools is a former enterprise level tool which was incredibly affordable yet exponentially easier to implement than SiteCatalyst. It has just been announced by Yahoo! that IndexTools will be made available for FREE this fall. Following this autumn release the world of web analytics will become slightly more democratized.
